process

Our process varies a bit depending on what kind of award winning meats we happen to be producing. To give you an idea of how the magic happens at Stonie’s we’ve illustrated all the steps we take to make Stonie’s sausage before it gets to you.

step 1 - the mixer / grinder
We put the meat and seasoning into the mixer/grinder. Once the seasoning is consistently mixed into the meat, it is ground out.

step 2 - stuffing
Next, the meat gets put into our stuffer. The seasoned meat is stuffed into its respective casing.

step 3 - the smoker
Finally, the sausage is cooked and smoked in our smokehouse. The time spent in this stage varies. Some products only take 4 hours; some take 12.
